Role Models ECG
As this issue of role models goes to publishing our countries are still at war ; terrorists are threats to our major cities ; natural disasters are occurring worldwide . Economic pressures are affecting United States families as gasoline and heating fuel prices; though starting to decline ; are still very high . Illicit drug use is rampant in our schools ,church attendance continues to decline;many citizens are unemployed or underemployed . How can the family unit survive ? Can you turn to churches for guidance when they are plagued by scandals ?; when you can't trust your children to be alone with some church leaders ? Anyone have the solutions ?
Despite all these difficulties our country (your country )has some great role models . Unfortunately they don't get the publicity they deserve .
At Role Models ECG we strive to find true Role Models to provide you with information to better yourself as citizens and parents . No matter how liberal or conservative you may be you will find useful education ; Christian ,drug education , family values and clean humor that can be used to rebuild or redevelop your family . Our country developed with these values and there is no reason that terrorism and insurgency should be allowed to destroy them.
Please think of Citizenship values ,possibly distant to many of us. Good citizens don't lead drug crimes in school systems or in work places . They don't become drug couriers ,launder illicit money and develop white collar criminal enterprises . Frequently ,new immigration arrivals fall into such crime traps What kind of citizens are these new arrivals ?They seemingly fail as proper citizens yet they are not deported . Possibly they are overwhelmed by the complexity of our society and simply mislead by their immediate social contacts .
Before judging the new immigration arrivals ;let's also look at ourselves . Are we being good citizens ?Some of us are in the same traps .
Are we strong role models for our youth if we allow the illicit drug use in our education systems . How can we stop it ."..Suzy's teacher has a drug problem ...the coach tells everyone to shoot steroids ... I can't make the team or get good grades unless I smoke pot ...the professor will give me good grades if I get his crank .. ' that's everyday in one of the world's most powerful countries and others . isn't that ridiculous ?
I recently viewed a public service spot on cable television that stressed the importance of parents admitting their illicit drug use to their children so their children wouldn't experiment . How often do have you heard ..oh it's a phase ... they will stop . What do their kids do ?Frequently they end up with a worse illicit drug problem than their parents . Hence open communications with your children sounds like a great idea .Level with them . hey; maybe illicit drugs will eventually disappear ..Cartels are crumbling as the War on Drugs wages on .
Visualize this ! You walk outside your home and your best friend/neighbor has been killed in the war or by a local subway terrorist bombing .Not much you can do except pray ,complain or protest to your Congressman .It is not a new idea; but; why not "defund" the terrorists . Think of all the illicit substances that we casually consume while in schools ,home and parties .If no one buys orange juice then there is no need to grow oranges ...we should view illicit drug use of any type in the same manor .
Next time you go to church and reach to place a tithe in the collection plate visualize surrendering any casual partying experimentation with Cocaine,Crack,Heroin,or pot . There is biblical justification as well as written criminal law for such surrender . Donate the proceeds to a church or war reparations. If we aren't addicted; why not stem the flow ?! My generation started with pot and now cocaine and smack are the norm ...yeahooo...that is not evolving ..IF you can't rationalize this thru biblical or federal and state laws think of the diseases that go hand in hand with the illicit drug use . Top to bottom of the usage chain and vice versa .
If we; as good citizens ,role models and Christians adopt such a doctrine we could significantly impact the war on drugs by limiting the demand . If you think about that ;it is not earthshaking but rather simplistic .
