Several years ago I met a dynamic young
fitness trainer at a health club . Scott ,a former Harvard
Football player immediately impressed me with his integrity and honesty .
An excellent trainer ,he totally shocked me when after a few months he
mentioned he was a Minister at a developing local church. It was then that
I realized that he was actually quite similar to the first Minister I ever
met from a small church .I feel blessed to have Scott and his
wonderful wife Danielle featured on this web site .
They are both outstanding individuals whom everyone can feel comfortable
discussing family, sins, difficulties or even how to lead a church ! Feel
free to contact them .

Originally
from Miami, Florida, Scott moved to Boston to attend Harvard
University where he played football for four years. He studied the
Bible his freshman year and was baptized at a campus retreat in
1989. Scott went into the full-time ministry immediately following
graduation and initially led several campus and single ministries
in the Boston area.
Danielle
(Dunlap) grew up in California but came east to attend Boston
College in 1988. She was baptized into Christ in 1990 between her
Sophomore and Junior years of college. After graduating college in
1992 with a major in Communications and minor in International
Relations, she went into the full-time ministry. Danielle led
several different campus ministries in the Boston area before
moving to Vermont to lead with Scott.
In 1995, Scott
and Danielle were chosen to lead the Burlington, VT mission team -
the last state without a discipling ministry at the time! In 1996,
Scott and Danielle were married on the shores of Lake Champlain.
The Sweeneys moved to Connecticut in 1999 to assist the Allens in
leading the Hartford Church of Christ. God has blessed them in
many ways in the ministry since being here. Connecticut has also
been the birthplace of their two children, Chloe (January 2000),
and Connor (January 2002). |
